Spinning Fibers - AntFarm Series - May 27th
Come make your own yarn and thread! This Spinning Fibers class offers you the chance to learn multiple spinning and twisting techniques to process raw fiber into yarn. We will be spinning wool using drop spindles, and spinning cotton on a box charkha. Students will learn how to process wool and make it ready for spinning, and how to make cordage by hand.
Students will leave the class with an assortment of yarns and threads. As well as an understanding of fiber types, functions, and ply.
This class is available to students ages 10 and up, regardless of previous experience. Younger folks should be aware this class focuses on dexterity and patience is required.

This workshop is hosted at AntFarm Cafe at 39140 Proctor Blvd, Sandy, OR 97055
This class is offered twice in the same day, 8am-11am & 12pm-3pm. If you choose to purchase a full day you will hear some of the same information while also being able to deepen your knowledge and skill on the subject.
Please arrive at least ten minutes early to settle in, use the bathroom, and order some delicious food for yourself!
We will be weaving in the conference room across from the bathrooms of the cafe.
All supplies is provided, however if you have a project you want help with, by all means bring it!
